No login neededName searchChecked 2 Nov 2026

Quick steps

  1. Open the reports area of your state portalLists usually sit under Reports, Public Reports, RC Details or a beneficiary heading. The NFSA state portals page links each state's public report.
  2. Choose the districtPick your district from the first drop down. Some portals then ask whether the area is rural or urban.
  3. Choose block or town, then panchayatRural families select the block and panchayat. Urban families pick the municipality or ward instead.
  4. Pick the village and shopThe village list opens next. Where a village has more than one dealer, select the fair price shop you take ration from.
  5. Scan the head of family columnEach row carries the family head's name beside the card number. The browser's Find in page tool jumps straight to a typed name.
  6. Open the card for the member listTouching the card number opens every member, the category and the shop. Save or print this family page for your records.

The ration card list is the public register of every card in a village or shop area, and the state food department ration card list opens on its portal when you choose district, block, village and fair price shop one after another. Each line shows the card number and the head of family, and a tap usually opens the full family member list.

Families open this register to recover a forgotten card number, to confirm their own approval has gone through, or to check that a removed name is really gone. This page explains the drill down, links our list guides for 13 states, and covers what to do when your name is not there. To save the card after you find it, see the ration card download guide.

The new list: when do added names show up?

There is no single date when a new list is released. A new card shows in the village list once the supply officer approves it and the data is pushed to the portal, which can take a few weeks after field verification. Many people search for a new ration card list after a state drive; in practice you are looking at the same village list with fresh cards added at the end.

Applied recently and still not listed? Track the application status with your acknowledgement number rather than scanning the list every day.

Ration card family list check, member by member

A ration card family status check is simple: open the family card from the list and read the member lines. Some states call the result a digital ration card name list. A missing child, a new bride or a member marked for deletion shows up here before it reaches the shop.

  • No line yet for a baby born last year, or for a wife who joined after marriage: apply to add the name.
  • A person who died or moved is still listed: request name removal, so the family quota is correct.
  • Spelling or age is wrong: a correction request fixes it.
  • Name shows but marked not verified: finish eKYC at the shop.

Ration card list download and the family report

Most portals show the list as a web table without a separate download button. For a copy on the phone, go to the browser menu, tap Print and switch the printer to Save as PDF. If you need to download ration card report with family details for an office, open the family page itself and print only that. Long village lists may run to many pages, so save only the page with your family if data is limited.

Some states, such as Gujarat, also ask you to select a month, because the list follows the allocation for that month. If your card is missing for one month, try the previous one before you worry.

A village list is public, but your family page shows ages and sometimes partial Aadhaar numbers. Share it only with the office or person who needs it.

Questions people ask

How to check ration card list by village name?

Open your state portal's public report, choose district, block, panchayat and the village name, then pick the shop. The list shows every card in that area under the head of family name.

Can I see the ration card family member list online?

Yes. Tap the card number in the village list and the portal opens the family details page with each member's name, age and relation.

Where is the ration card beneficiary list for my shop?

Most states call it a shop wise or FPS wise beneficiary list. Choose your district, area and the fair price shop name, and the full card list for that dealer appears.

Does the NFSA site keep one ration card list for the country?

It does not. The NFSA portal links to each state's own report, and the list itself is kept by the state food department.

How can I download the ration card list?

Use the print option on the list page and save it as a PDF. Few portals offer a direct file download, and the printed page works just as well for your records.

Our card vanished from the village register this month. What happened?

The card may have been cancelled after a verification drive, merged with another card, or moved to another shop. Check your ration card status with the card number, then ask the supply office.
