Quick steps
- Open the Bihar EPDS portalEnter epds.bihar.gov.in by hand in the address bar. The real site always ends with bihar.gov.in, so stop if you see anything else.
- Choose the RCMS Report menuThe menu is usually called RCMS, with RCMS Report under it. It opens a district table of card counts.
- Pick district, then rural or urbanTap your district and press Show. Then tap the number under Rural if you live in a village or Urban if you live in a town.
- Go down to your village and shopChoose the block, then panchayat, then village. A list of fair price shops for that village appears. Open the one where your family takes ration.
- Find the head of familyLook for the name of your head of family or your card number in the list. Open the card to see all members.
- Keep the card page as a PDFOpen the three dot browser menu, choose Print, then pick PDF where it asks for a printer. Name the file after the family head so it is easy to find later.

Three Bihar ration card online sites and what each one does
Most confusion in Bihar comes from using the wrong portal for the job. Here is how the official sites split the work.

The RTPS portal also has a Ration Card details Verification link under the Food and Consumer Protection Department, which opens a card search on EPDS. If one route fails, the other often still works.
Ration card download Bihar district wise through the RCMS report
The RCMS report is the main way to get your card details without any login. It works like a tree: the state table opens districts, districts open blocks, and so on until you see each card in your village.
At the shop level you see every card attached to that dealer, showing card numbers, family heads and card types. Tap your card to open the member list. That page is what most people call the e ration card Bihar copy. It is not a signed certificate, but shop dealers and offices usually accept a printout with your Aadhaar for checks.
Recent news reports say the department has added a digital card download on EPDS for some families. If you see such an option on the home page, it will usually ask for an OTP on the mobile number linked with the card. If you do not see it, the RCMS printout is the copy to keep.
Ration card Bihar online check with Aadhaar card
Many people search with Aadhaar first. The public RCMS report in Bihar works by place and name, not by Aadhaar number, so you need to know your village and whose name the card was issued under. With only an Aadhaar number, use one of these:
- Mera Ration app: the central food ministry app. Install it, type any member's Aadhaar or the RC number to view members, category and the linked shop.
- Your ration shop: the dealer can scan your thumb on the ePoS machine and read the card number off the slip.
- RC online login: if you applied online, your account shows the card linked to your application.

What the Bihar card details page shows

When EPDS or RC online will not open
The Bihar portals are often slow or show a server error. This is common and not a problem with your phone. Try these in order:
- Leave it for a few hours. Before office time and after dinner the server is usually less crowded.
- Type the address yourself instead of opening an old saved link, since report pages move.
- Try the Ration Card details Verification link on the RTPS service portal.
- Go to the RTPS counter in your block office, or a common service centre, where the operator may ask a modest charge for printing.
- Ask your ration shop dealer to read your card number and member names from the ePoS machine.

eKYC and keeping the Bihar card active
In Bihar, Aadhaar eKYC happens at the ration shop, where the dealer scans each member's thumb on the ePoS device, which updates the central record. Some areas also allow face based eKYC through the Mera eKYC app where the department has turned it on. When a member misses eKYC, the system can hold back that person's grain until the thumb check is done.
Take every member to the shop together if you can, carry each Aadhaar card, and make sure the mobile number linked with Aadhaar is working so any OTP reaches you. An OTP is meant only for you, even if the caller says he is from the supply office.
Bihar ration card forms in PDF
People often search for the Bihar ration card Form K or Form Kh PDF, or a declaration form. These paper forms were used for offline applications in the past. Today the department takes new applications through the RC online system and the RTPS counters, and the counter gives you the current form if a paper one is still needed for your case.

Questions people ask
Can I find my Bihar card using only the RC number?
The RCMS report does not have a single box for the card number, so open your village and shop, then find your number in the list. If your RC online account or the RTPS Ration Card details Verification page opens, they can take the number directly. Then print the screen to a PDF file from the browser.
Can I get a Bihar ration card download PDF that is signed?
The RCMS page is a printable record, not a signed card. If the department has turned on digital card download for your family on EPDS, that copy comes after an OTP login. For any official need, carry the printout with your Aadhaar.
Can I check ration card status Bihar by Aadhaar number?

Why does epds.bihar.gov.in not open on my phone?
The server is often busy or down for maintenance. Try again at a quieter hour, type the address fresh, or use the RTPS portal link. If it still fails, the RTPS counter at your block can print the details.
My name is missing from the Bihar ration card. What should I do?
