The ration card Assam list is kept shop by shop: each fair price shop dealer and the FPD&CA office hold the names of cards tagged to that shop, while the department website shows only district wise counts by card type. To check your own family online, the Mera Ration app with Aadhaar is the most reliable route.
This page lays out each place you can look, from the department report to the village level, and what to do if a name is missing. For all Assam topics, see our Assam ration card hub.

Where the ration card Assam list is kept
Assam does not publish a public village by village name list on the department website. Names live in three places:
- The fair price shop register, which the dealer uses each month.
- The FPD&CA office of the district or sub division, which issues and changes cards.
- The central NFSA records, which you reach through the Mera Ration app for your own card.
The state also has a Ration Card Management System with reports by district, block and shop. It has been unreachable at times, so we have not linked it. Should a local centre get it open, cards are grouped there under district, block and shop.
Village wise ration card list Assam: practical route
For a village wise view, start from your shop, because each shop serves a fixed set of villages or wards. Find the shop on the FPS details page, then ask its dealer for the list of cards under it. Gaon Panchayat and ward offices sometimes keep copies when new cards are given out in a drive. A list photocopied or shared on a phone is fine for checking, but only the dealer's machine and the office record are final.
District report on the department site
The Ration Card Report page holds a report on the category wise number of ration cards in each district. It shows totals for AAY and PHH, not names. This is useful for panchayat workers and NGOs who want the scale of coverage, or to compare districts. Individuals looking for their own name should use the steps above.
Ration card beneficiary list Assam: reading your details
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Card number | Your card's ID for every form and app |
| Card type | AAY for the poorest households, PHH for priority households |
| Head of family | In Assam, normally the senior adult woman |
| Members | Each person who draws grain on the card |
| Shop | Where the family collects ration |
Field names differ between the app, the shop machine and paper registers, but these details appear in some form.
Name missing from the Assam list
Names go missing for a few common reasons. Assam now insists on eKYC for each NFSA person, and those without it risk deletion. A card unused for many months may be held for review. A bride may have been deleted at her parents' address but not yet added at her husband's. And sometimes a new card from a drive is not yet linked to a shop.
Carry the original card, the missing person's Aadhaar and any old receipt to FPD&CA. To add a name back, the office uses Proforma C, explained in our Assam application guide. To check a card online, read the Assam check guide.
Ration card Assam list PDF
There is no official single PDF of names for a village on the department website. Lists shared on social media may be old or edited. If you need a printed list for a meeting, ask the FPD&CA office whether it can give a shop wise printout. For lists in other states, see our national ration card list page.
Questions people ask

The department site shows district totals only. For your own family, use the Mera Ration app with Aadhaar, or ask your fair price shop dealer.
Is there a village wise ration card list for Assam?
Each shop serves a set of villages, so the dealer's register works as the village list. The FPD&CA office holds the official copy.
Can I download the ration card Assam list PDF?
No public name list PDF is offered on the department site. The Ration Card Report page gives district counts by category.
How do I find my fair price shop in Assam?
Open the FPS details page on the Assam ePoS site, linked from the department site, and choose your district.
My name is not in the beneficiary list. What should I do?
First confirm your eKYC at the shop. If that is fine, the FPD&CA staff can trace why the name fell off; bring Aadhaar and the card.
