Quick steps
- Open nfs.delhi.gov.inType the address in your browser. The NFS server is slow at peak times, so a second attempt later in the day often works.

- Pick the ration card details reportChoose the option for ration card details or FPS-wise card details. Both lead to your family's record.
- Enter the card number or choose circle and shopType the ration card number, or pick your circle and then your fair price shop to see the list of cards attached to it.
- Open your card and print itTap your card number to list the members. From the browser menu choose Print and pick PDF, or send it to a printer.
Ration card download Delhi steps depend on how old your card is: for an existing card, open NFS Delhi, the food department's public portal, and use its citizen menu to view the card details by ration card number or by your fair price shop, then print the page; for a newly approved card, the copy sits in your e-District Delhi login. Both are free.
Delhi issues cards under the National Food Security Act in two categories, Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY). After a long gap, the department has started taking fresh applications again through e-District, so many families are now dealing with both portals at once. This page explains which portal does what, how to read the FPS-wise list, and what to try when the NFS site will not open. Readers outside Delhi can begin at our ration card online guide for every state.

Ration card download Delhi: which portal to use
Delhi has two official websites for ration cards, and each one has its own job.
| Portal | Use it for |
|---|---|
| NFS Delhi | Viewing an existing card, member names, the FPS list for each circle, shop details |
| e-District Delhi | New ration card applications, adding members, application status, and the approved card copy |
| Food department site | Notices, contact numbers and office addresses |
If you only want to see your family's details, NFS Delhi is enough. If you applied recently, everything happens in e-District.
Reading the FPS-wise ration card list
Delhi is divided into circles, and each circle has fair price shops. The FPS-wise report shows every card attached to a shop. Families who have forgotten their card number find it here.
- Pick your circle from the first list. If you are unsure, the circle name is on your shop's board.
- Pick your shop. You will find the shop number on both the card and your purchase slip.
- Scroll to the name of your family head; the card number sits beside it.
The same report is how people check the Delhi ration card list for their area. Menu names on NFS change from time to time, so look for anything mentioning FPS or card details if the exact words differ.
What the Delhi card details page shows
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ration card number | Your family's unique number; quote it at the shop and in every request |
| Category | PHH or AAY, which decides your monthly quota |
| Head of family | The member the card is issued to, normally the eldest woman |
| Members | Names of everyone on the card, with age |
| FPS details | The shop number, its licensee and circle |
| Aadhaar seeding | On some reports, a Yes or No against each member for Aadhaar linking |
If a member shows Aadhaar not seeded, that person will fail the fingerprint check at the shop. The fix is at the circle office.
Copy of a newly approved card from e-District
Once e-District sanctions a fresh card, the card copy is made available in the applicant's e-District account. Log in with the account you used to apply and look in the section for issued certificates or your applications. Download or print it from there. If it is not visible yet, check the stage on our Delhi ration card status guide. People who have not applied yet should read the Delhi apply online guide before starting.

For general topics, see our pages on ration card types and the Mera Ration app, or return to our front page.
Ration card KYC in Delhi
Delhi gives rations only after biometric verification on the shop's ePoS machine. Each member's fingerprint is matched with Aadhaar, so every member's Aadhaar must be linked to the card. There is no separate KYC button on NFS Delhi for card holders. Visit your shop with Aadhaar, give your fingerprint, and the record is updated. If the fingerprint keeps failing, refreshing the biometrics at an Aadhaar centre generally clears the problem.
Other ways to see your Delhi ration card
- Mera Ration app: the central government's app shows card details, your monthly entitlement and transaction history after you enter the card number.
- Your FPS dealer: the ePoS machine at the counter pulls up your family record.
- Circle office: the Food and Supply Officer's office for your circle can confirm the card status and members.
A printout from NFS or e-District is accepted as a copy of details, but the shop works on the card number and fingerprint.
