How the RCMS list for a ration card name check Maharashtra is arranged
Maharashtra arranges cards by supply office, not by village. Each district supply officer, written DFSO on the report, has rationing units below it, and each unit has shops. A village or a city ward is served by one or more shops, so knowing your shop number is the fastest route. It is painted on the shop board and printed on your ePoS slip.
Ration card online name check Maharashtra on a phone
The tables are wide. Turn the phone sideways and zoom out a little before you start. When the card list opens, use find in page rather than scrolling, because a busy urban shop can have more than a thousand cards. Names are usually in English capitals, so try the spelling used on your Aadhaar.
Columns you will see in the shop list
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| RC number | The 12 digit card number, useful for RCMS login |
| Head of family | Name of the card holder |
| Scheme or card type | AAY, priority household or a non priority category |
| Member count | Number of people on the card |
Column names vary a little between report versions. The idea is the same: one row per card.
Name not in the RCMS list: what to do
| Situation | Likely reason | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Whole family missing | Wrong shop selected or card moved to another shop | Check the shop number on your last ePoS slip |
| Card listed, one member missing | Member never added or removed during cleanup | Apply for addition with proof |
| New card not visible | Approval not complete or list not refreshed | Check the application stage on RCMS |
| Card was there before, now gone | Card silenced after long gap or failed eKYC | Take every member's Aadhaar to the tahsil office |
A second check: the ePoS entitlement report
Mahafood also links an ePoS report for entitlement, Aadhaar seeding and transactions. Type the RC number to see how many members the shop machine recognises and whether each is seeded. If a member appears in the RCMS list but not here, that member probably needs eKYC. Our Maharashtra Aadhaar link guide explains how.
When to go to the office
The list is a view, not a request. To add a missing name, apply through RCMS or at the tahsil supply office; you can then track it with the Maharashtra application status check. Lists of other states are on the national ration card list page. No one needs to pay to see these public lists, and nobody can add your name to them for a fee.
