Where the WB ration card download lives now
Searching for e ration card download West Bengal often leads to dead links. Until the redesign, the e ration card sat on a page inside food.wb.gov.in. That address was removed, so links shared in old messages and videos now open an error page. The working copy is reached through the WBPDS site.
The WBPDS pages use session based addresses, which means the long link in your address bar works only for a short time. Do not save that link or send it to relatives. Always start again from the WBPDS home page and click through. If a family member wants the card, send them this page instead, and they can follow the same route.

Digital ration card categories in West Bengal
Every digital ration card in the state carries one category. It decides the scheme your family falls under and is also the second box you fill during the download.

Only NFSA categories work under One Nation One Ration Card in other states. If your card says RKSY II and you want it moved to RKSY I, that is a conversion request handled through the department forms, explained on the correction page.
What the downloaded WB e ration card shows
- Digital ration card number: the number every office and shop uses for you.
- Category: one of the five above.
- Name, age and photo of the person whose card it is, plus guardian name.
- Address with district and block or municipality.
- Fair price shop name or code and the food inspector area.
In West Bengal each family member has a separate digital ration card, so download each person's card one by one. A parent and child will have different numbers.

WB ration card list and other lookups
The food department home page has a link called FPS Wise List of Beneficiaries. It opens a district list on the WBPDS site. From there you pick the block or municipality, then the ration shop, and the screen shows how many cards are tagged to that shop by category. Shop dealers and panchayat workers use it to cross check numbers.

Aadhaar link, eKYC and mobile on a West Bengal card
Most cards in the state are already linked with Aadhaar, and the food department dashboard shows a large count of families with a mobile number on record. eKYC is done at the ration shop on the biometric ePoS machine: the member gives a fingerprint, and the dealer confirms it against Aadhaar. No fee is charged by the department for this.

Offline help: Duare Sarkar, Bangla Sahayata Kendra and the shop
Not everyone can do this on a phone. The state runs Duare Sarkar camps in many areas from time to time, where staff take ration card forms on the spot. Bangla Sahayata Kendra centres, listed on bsk.wb.gov.in, help with online forms and printing on working days. Private print shops may take a small charge for paper copies.
Under Duare Ration, ration is delivered near the doorstep in many areas, and the dealer still checks your card or fingerprint. If you have shifted to a new area, ask about a ration card transfer through the shop change form at the inspector office.
