Open EPDS Telangana FSC SearchOfficial site, opens in a new tab
To see your ration card status Telangana has one public tool: the Ration Card Search inside the FSC Search menu on EPDS Telangana, run by the Civil Supplies Department. Type your Food Security Card number, pick your district, and the result tells you whether the card is active, who is on it and which fair price shop it is tagged to.
This Telangana civil supplies ration card search takes two minutes and needs no login. It is the first thing a shop dealer or MeeSeva operator will do when you come with a ration problem, so it helps to know how to read it yourself. Saving the result as a file is covered in our Telangana ration card download hub.

Reading your ration card status Telangana result
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| FSC reference or card number | The number the shop uses to find your family |
| Card type | Whether it is an NFSA card, a state food security card or an AAY card |
| Head of family and members | Every person who gets a ration share. A missing name gets no share. |
| Status | Active means the card can draw ration this month |
| FP shop number and dealer | The fair price shop your card is attached to |
| Address and district | Where the card was issued |
Field names can change a little when the portal is updated, but these details are always there in some form.
FP shop number search in Telangana
A common question at the counter is which shop a card belongs to. The FP shop number appears on the same result page as the members. If you moved house, your card may still be tagged to the old shop. You can still draw ration at any fair price shop under One Nation One Ration Card, but asking the Civil Supplies office to change the tagged shop makes life easier for the family members left behind.
For a full list of shops and card counts in your mandal, use the reports covered in the Telangana list guide.
Status check without the internet
Not everyone can use the portal. Three other ways work well:
- At the ration shop: the dealer puts your card number into the ePoS machine and your fingerprint confirms the family. The screen shows members and the month's quantity.
- At a MeeSeva centre: the operator can run the FSC search and give you a printout.
- By phone: the consumer helpline 1800 425 00333 takes complaints about cards and supplies.
Why a card shows inactive and how to restart it
Cards are usually stopped for one of these reasons: the family did not take ration for several months, members did not finish eKYC at the ration shop, or a field check found the family outside the rules. The portal does not tell you which reason applies.
Go to the dealer first. If the dealer cannot help, take the card, Aadhaar cards of all members and a short written request to the mandal Civil Supplies office. Ask for a receipt for anything you hand in.
Ration card search for a new card that is pending
If you applied through MeeSeva or at Praja Palana and do not yet have a card number, Ration Card Search will not find you. Use FSC Application Search with your reference number instead. The application status guide walks through it and explains what each stage means.
Common errors on the status page
| Message or problem | Likely reason | Try this |
|---|---|---|
| No records | District does not match the card | Choose the district of your shop, not your home district |
| Old number not found | Old card was replaced by a new FSC number | Ask the dealer for the current number |
| Member shown but no ration given | Member eKYC pending | Bring that member to the shop for a fingerprint or iris check |
| Site not opening | Server busy or certificate warning on your phone | Try in the morning or use a MeeSeva centre |
Questions people ask
Is AePDS Telangana ration card status different from the EPDS check?
The ration shop machines run on the ePoS or AePDS system, while the public search is on EPDS Telangana. Both read the same card data. For a family, the EPDS FSC Search is the easiest place to look.
Can I check ration card status at MeeSeva?
Yes. A MeeSeva centre can look up your card and print the result. Expect a small counter charge for the print.
How do I check ration card status in Telangana by Aadhaar?
The public search does not list Aadhaar as an input. Ask the dealer to find your card through a fingerprint check, then use the card number on EPDS.
Does a TS ration card status check work for an AP card?
No. Andhra Pradesh has its own rice card system. See our AP ration card status guide.
What should I do if a family member is missing in the status?
That member gets no ration share. Ask the Civil Supplies office whether an addition request is pending, and see the apply guide for how member addition is filed.
