Quick steps
- Find your receiptLocate the acknowledgement slip from the Sewa Kendra. The application or receipt number on it is what every office will ask for.

- Act on any objectionIf the file was returned for a missing paper, take that paper to the centre quickly so it can be sent again.
- Get the SRC number after approvalOnce approved, ask for the smart ration card number and the depot it is tagged to.
- Confirm on AePDSOn epos.punjab.gov.in open Reports, then Beneficiary Details, and enter the new SRC number to see members.
- Finish eKYC at the depotBring all members to that depot to give fingerprints for eKYC, or the first month's grain will not be released.
Open AePDS Punjab, Beneficiary DetailsOfficial site, opens in a new tab
To do a ration card track status Punjab applicants need the receipt or application number from the Sewa Kendra where they applied; the Sewa Kendra counter can tell you the stage of the file, and after approval the new smart card appears in the Beneficiary Details report of AePDS Punjab. Those two checks together tell you where your request stands.
This page is for people who have already applied, either for a new smart card or for a change like adding a member. Not applied so far? Go to the Punjab new card guide. The Punjab ration card hub lists every other service.

Ration card track status Punjab: the stages
| Stage | What is happening | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Submitted | The Sewa Kendra has entered the request | Keep the receipt; nothing else yet |
| Under verification | The food inspector checks documents and may visit | Keep the phone number you gave switched on |
| Objection or returned | A paper is missing or details do not match | Submit the missing paper at the centre |
| Approved | Card number created and depot assigned | Collect details and do eKYC |
| Rejected | Not found eligible, or duplicate found | Request a written reason |
The words shown to you may not match these exactly, yet the order of stages holds.
Ration card application status Punjab on ERCMS
Behind the Sewa Kendra counter, ration card requests move through the department's ERCMS system at ercms.punjab.gov.in. Some guides say you can track there yourself. The site is sometimes down for upkeep, and a public tracking screen has not been confirmed, so do not depend on it alone. The Sewa Kendra can see the same record and print the current stage for you.
New ration card status check Punjab after approval
Once you hear that the card is approved, the clearest proof is the card appearing on the ePoS portal. Use the SRC number in the Beneficiary Details report. If the names show, the card is live. If the month you choose shows no data, pick the current month after your first ration visit. Our Punjab status check guide explains each field on that page.
Ration card application status check Punjab: pending too long?
Delays usually come from three things: a member is on another card, the address could not be verified, or the inspector's area has a backlog. Here is how to push it forward politely:
- Ask the Sewa Kendra for the exact stage and the officer it is pending with.
- Meet the area food inspector with the receipt and copies of your documents.
- If still stuck, write to the district food and supplies office with the receipt number.
- Register a complaint on the state PDS toll free number with its four digit number given on the NFSA helpline page.
Tracking a change request, not a new card
Requests to add someone, delete someone or shift depot each come with their own Sewa Kendra slip. Track it the same way. After approval, check Beneficiary Details: a new name should appear, or a removed one should disappear. Readers outside Punjab can compare with our ration card application status guide.
Questions people ask
How do I track my ration card application status in Punjab?
Use the receipt number from the Sewa Kendra. The centre can show the stage. After approval, confirm the card on the AePDS Beneficiary Details report with the SRC number.
Can I track the Punjab ration card status online without visiting?
The ePoS portal shows the card only after approval. For the stage before that, call or visit the Sewa Kendra, as a public online tracking page has not been confirmed.
What if my receipt is lost?
Go to the same Sewa Kendra carrying the family head's Aadhaar. The operator can usually find the request and give you the number again.
Rejected application: is a second try allowed?
Ask for the reason first. If it was a missing paper or duplicate entry, fix that and apply again at the Sewa Kendra.
Approved but the dealer says the card is not on his machine. Why?
eKYC may be pending, or the card is tagged to a different depot. Check the depot on Beneficiary Details and do eKYC there. The Punjab depot list can confirm which shop the card is with.
