What you need for the KMUT status check with ration card number
- The smart family card number: printed under the QR code on your card. It also appears after the OTP login on tnpds.gov.in.
- The phone used for the application: the OTP comes to that number. If the woman head applied with her son's or husband's number, use that phone.
- Aadhaar of the woman head: only if you take the Aadhaar route instead.
- A few quiet minutes: the code expires quickly and a fresh captcha appears on every attempt.

The login page labels are partly in Tamil and partly in English. Here is what each box wants.

On the Aadhaar tab, you type the Aadhaar number instead and the code reaches whichever phone is tied to that Aadhaar.
What the KMUT application status means
The result shows the stage your application has reached. The exact wording may differ, but it usually falls in one of these groups.
- Accepted or eligible: the application passed the checks. The assistance is paid to the bank account linked in the application.
- Under verification: the field check or document check is still going on.
- Not eligible or rejected: the application did not meet a rule. The screen often shows the reason.
- No record found: no application is linked to that card and number, or a digit is wrong.
This site does not state the scheme amount or payment dates. Check the scheme portal or the government order linked on its home page for those.
If the result says not eligible
Read the reason carefully. Common reasons include a family member paying income tax, a government job in the family, or details not matching between the ration card and Aadhaar. Some of these are mistakes in records that can be corrected.
- If the smart card has a wrong name or a missing member, fix it first through our Tamil Nadu correction guide.
- If the woman head is not shown as the head on the card, the family head change is done on TNPDS.
- Ask the taluk staff or an e-Sevai operator whether an appeal or a fresh application window is open at present. The windows open and close by government order.
