A green ration card Jharkhand status check is done on the state's Aahar portal: search your card under अपना राशनकार्ड खोजें or JSFSS राशनकार्ड विवरण, track a pending application with its acknowledgement number on ERCMS, and look at the monthly green distribution report to see if rice has reached your area.
The green card is not a central NFSA card. It comes from the Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme, which the state pays for itself, to reach poor households that qualified on paper yet were left outside the central quota. What the green card is and who it is for
NFSA lets each state cover only a fixed share of its people with central PHH and AAY cards. In Jharkhand many poor families met the rules but found the NFSA list already full. The state started its own food security scheme, JSFSS, to give these families subsidised rice through the same ration shops. Its card is called the green card.
- The scheme is run and paid for by the state, not the centre.
- The ration is rice for each member every month, in a quantity the state fixes. The पात्रता screen on Aahar shows what your card is owed.
- Eligibility follows the state's राशनकार्ड मानक rules, the same inclusion and exclusion list used for NFSA selection.

When green rice comes late
Because the state buys grain for this scheme separately, green distribution has at times started later than NFSA distribution in the same month. Before arguing with the dealer, open the monthly green distribution report on Aahar. If your district shows little or no green distribution, stock has not arrived yet. If others in your village have received it and you have not, check your card on the पात्रता screen.
If the screen shows rice lifted against your card but you got nothing, register a complaint through the ration card complaint form or call 1800 345 6598.
Applying for a green card
New applications go through the ERCMS registration form. Under कार्ड का प्रकार choose Green. An adult woman has to be named as मुखिया. OTPs confirm the phone and Aadhaar, two images go up (Aadhaar and the home), and accept the declaration about income and assets. Aahar's ग्रीन कार्ड menu also links the online form and a PDF on how to fill it.

eKYC and dealer for green card holders
Green card members also complete Aadhaar eKYC on the dealer's ePoS machine. Aahar's e-KYC Report (NFSA+GREEN) counts both together, which tells you the department treats green cards the same way for this check. Pending eKYC can hold back a member's share.
To change your dealer, correct a name or add a member, use the ERCMS cardholder login and attach the self declaration form the site asks for.
Using the green card outside your district or state
One Nation One Ration Card portability is built for NFSA cards, so a green card should be treated as valid only with dealers inside Jharkhand. Families who move to another state should ask the supply office in the new state about applying there. For moving within Jharkhand, request a dealer change on ERCMS. How do I do a green ration card Jharkhand status check online?
Search your card on Aahar under अपना राशनकार्ड खोजें or JSFSS राशनकार्ड विवरण. A pending request is followed on ERCMS by its acknowledgement number.
Is the green card part of NFSA?
No. It is the state's own scheme, JSFSS, for families who qualify but are outside the NFSA limit.
Can I convert my green card to a PHH card?
There is no online button for this that we could confirm. NFSA inclusion is decided by the department when places are available. Ask your block supply office.
Why does my green card show but the dealer says no rice has come?
Green stock is supplied separately. Check the monthly green distribution report for your district on Aahar to see whether stock has reached your area.
Do green card holders need eKYC?
Yes. The department tracks eKYC for NFSA and green cards together. Every person on the card has to put a finger on the dealer's scanner once.
Can I apply for a green card at a Pragya Kendra?
Yes. The operator fills the same ERCMS form and chooses Green as the card type. Keep the acknowledgement slip.
