There is no separate PVC ration card download; what you download is the official e-ration card PDF from your state food portal, and a PVC card is simply that same card printed on hard plastic. Some states issue their own smart cards in plastic, but in most of India the paper or PDF copy of the e-card is the legal document.
Search results are full of sites offering to order a PVC ration card online. These are private businesses, not the food department. States that issue official smart ration cards
A few states have chosen to give every family a card sized smart card made by the department.

In these states the smart card comes from the department through the shop or office. You cannot buy it from a website.
PVC ration card order online sites: what to know
Searches like pvc ration card order online or e ration card pvc order mostly lead to private printing sites. They take your downloaded card, print it and post it. They are not part of the public distribution system, the plastic card they send has no extra legal value, and you have no protection if the parcel never arrives.

Ration smart card status check
Where a state is distributing smart cards, the status of your card can usually be checked in one of these ways:
- On the state food portal under a menu such as Smart Card Status, Card Print Status or Application Status.
- With the dealer, who often gets a list of cards ready for handover at the shop.
- At the taluk or circle supply office when the card is held back for a correction.

Is a PVC ration card valid at the ration shop?
The shop gives ration after a biometric match on the ePoS device against your card number. Any printed copy, paper or plastic, only helps show the number. In smart card states, the department card is the one to carry.
How do I apply online for a PVC ration card?
There is no all India pvc ration card apply online service. In states with smart cards the department issues them to listed families. Elsewhere, print your own downloaded e-card if you want plastic.
