To check ration card status Kerala gives two online routes: the public Application Status link on the main Civil Supplies website, which opens a page on the taluk supply office (eTSO) system, and the e-Citizen portal, where the request also shows in your account after Citizen Login. Keep the application number from your Akshaya receipt or online acknowledgement handy; that is what both routes look up.
Updates on the request, along with the print password later, are pushed to the registered phone through the Sandes app, as the department's login page notes. This guide shows each route, explains what the common status words mean, and covers the steps for a file that will not move. To download the card after approval, use our Kerala ration card download guide.

What Kerala status messages usually mean
- Submitted or received: the request reached the taluk supply office but nobody has acted yet.
- Under enquiry or with the rationing inspector: a field check is pending. The inspector may visit or call.
- Approved: the change is done or a new card number is ready. Download the updated card.
- Rejected or returned: a reason is usually given, often a missing document. You can usually file again with the correct proof.
Wording on the eTSO page may differ slightly from these labels; read the full line.
Kerala ration card details check
Next to Application Status, the main site has a Ration Card Details link on the same eTSO system. Use it to confirm the card is active, see the colour category and the members recorded. This is handy after a member addition, to see that the new name actually appears before you go for mustering at the ration shop. Kerala card colours are explained on our Kerala download page linked above.
Ration card status Kerala stuck at the TSO
Most delays sit at the field enquiry stage. If nothing changes for a few weeks:
- Visit the Taluk Supply Office with the receipt and originals of the documents you uploaded.
- Ask the Akshaya centre that filed the request whether the office sent it back for a correction.
- Call the department's toll free number 1800-425-1550 or 14404, listed on its helpline page, with the application number ready.
Checking status on the phone
Both the eTSO status page and e-Citizen open in a phone browser. The department's app, Ente Ration Card, is linked from its main site and also shows card information. Status messages and print passwords reach your phone through Sandes, so keep that app logged in on the registered number. If you changed phones, sign in again with the same mobile number to see past messages.
Status in other states
Kerala's tools only look up Kerala applications. If you have a card or an application in another state, our ration card status guide covering every state points to the right portal. For other services such as new cards and corrections across India, see our online ration card services overview.
Questions people ask
How do I check Kerala ration card application status online?
Open the Application Status link on civilsupplieskerala.gov.in and enter your application number, or sign in to e-Citizen and see the request in your account.

How many weeks before a new Kerala card is issued?
It depends on the field enquiry at your taluk. Watch the status and visit the TSO if there is no movement for several weeks.
Approved status: where is my Kerala card now?
Log in to e-Citizen, open the e ration card option and enter the print password sent to your mobile. Steps are on our Kerala e ration card page.
Can I check status without the internet?
Yes. Take your receipt to any Akshaya counter or to the TSO, or dial the toll free number 1800-425-1550.
